From Here ("we," "us," "our") lets you design and send a real, physically printed postcard to someone. This page explains what information we collect to do that, how we use it, and who we share it with.

Information we collect

When you place an order, we collect:

Your information: your name and email address, and payment details (handled directly by our payment processor — we never see or store your full card number).
Recipient information: the name and mailing address of the person or people you're sending a postcard to.
Return address: a mailing address you provide at checkout, used only if a postcard turns out to be undeliverable — it's returned there directly by USPS, never to us. See our Terms of Service for how undeliverable mail is handled.
Your content: the photo and message you choose to include on the postcard.

We only collect what's needed to design, print, and mail your order.

How we use your information

We use the information above to:

Print and mail your postcard to the recipient you specify
Route a postcard back to the return address you provide, if it can't be delivered
Process your payment
Send you an update when your postcard ships, if you opt in to receive one
Respond if you contact us with a question about your order

We do not use your photo, message, or address information for advertising, and we do not sell personal information to anyone.

Service providers we work with

To actually create and deliver your postcard, we share the minimum necessary information with a small number of service providers, each acting on our behalf and only for the purpose listed:

Stripe — processes your payment. We never receive or store your card number.
PostGrid — prints and mails the physical postcard, and so receives the recipient's address, your return address, and your postcard design.
Cloudinary — stores the photo you upload so it can be printed.
Airtable — stores order records (such as order status and the terms you agreed to at checkout) so we can track and support your order.
Resend — sends the optional "your postcard shipped" email, if you opt in.

These providers may process and store data on servers located in the United States or other countries where they operate. We work with reputable providers, but we encourage you to review their own privacy policies if you have questions about their specific data handling practices.

Data retention

We retain order information for as long as needed to fulfill your order, provide customer support, and meet our own legal and accounting obligations. You can request that we delete your information at any time — see "Your rights" below.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by contacting us at the email address below. We'll respond as quickly as we're able to.

Children's privacy

From Here is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we'll remove it.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use From Here after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
